Middle School students will have two opportunities to register for summer school, Thursday, June 1, from 8:30-11:30 and late registration on Friday, June 2, also from 8:30-11:30 in their schools. As in the past we will only accept cash or money order for summer school fees, $190 per course, plus $10 registration fee per course. Courses that are being taken for high school credit will follow high school fee requirements. In addition, students will be required to have the signature of their respective administrator or guidance counselor and parent on their summer school registration form, which may be printed at http://hcschools.org/vhs/register.htm.

Students will be electronically registered at their schools and should be enrolled in their course(s) by Wednesday, June 7. If your school is hosting a lab, students should begin working on June 7.

A limited number of scholarships are available for students who receive free or reduced lunch. In order to qualify for a full scholarship the student must receive free lunch services. Students receiving full scholarships are required to pay a $50 fee per .5 credit that is refundable upon successful completion of each .5 credit. In order to receive a 50% scholarship the student must receive reduced lunch services. A single student may only receive two scholarships regardless of whether he/she receives free or reduced lunch. If a student has defaulted on a scholarship previously he/she is not eligible for another one.
