
- The student should receive no remuneration for participation in this program.
- There must be no program of similar content available in the elective courses in the regular school program.
- A maximum of 2 units of credit may be earned by a student for community service; however, all such credit must be counted in excess of the units required for graduation.
- Credit must be granted for out-of-school experiences in terms of the total number of hours of involvement (i.e., 180 hours=1 unit of credit, 90 hours=1/2 unit of credit).
- The grade will be pass/fail and will not be calculated in the GPA.
- Credit earned in this program will not be considered when determining eligibility for TSSAA sanctioned sports.
- All requests for enrollment and participation in this program must be granted by the principal and the director of secondary education. The request may be initiated any time during the school year.
- The student must have grades above 70 in the preceding term and must be classified as a senior.
