Seniors with a 2.0 or better GPA will be allowed to take one day for college visitation. The school visited must be at least 50 miles from Ooltewah. This day will not be counted against attendance provided the following instructions are followed:
Seniors must apply for and take requested college day prior to spring break.
Students are to register and pick up college visitation forms in the guidance office. The form must be signed by the parent or guardian at least one week before the visitation.
Students must clear IN ADVANCE their absence with EACH teacher whose class will be missed. Teachers may require that missed assignments be made up ahead of time. Students may not take a college day during scheduled exam time.
Visitation forms must be returned to guidance with a stamp or seal of the school they visited and the signature of the admissions officer. This will be verified by the curriculum administrator.
