Students will be dismissed only under the following conditions:

  1. A school board policy which was necessary to release the school of legal responsibilities requires that a parent or legal guardian must personally come come to school to sign for a student to be dismissed for any reason other than a doctor, court or dental appointment. Parents or guardians signing for a dismissal may come to school at any time between 7:00 a.m. and dismissal time. We cannot interrupt class to get a student except in the case of genuine emergency. Parents should take note of the time between classes as shown on the bell schedules on the inside front cover of this handbook during which students may be dismissed for non-emergencies


  2. Students may be dismissed for medical appointments by bringing a note that contains the following information:
    1. Student's name
    2. Name and phone number of the doctor or dentist
    3. Date and time of the appointment
    4. Parent's signature and daytime phone number


  3. Students being dismissed for court appearances must have proper documentation.
