STARS has a new look!! At the 25th Anniversary Celebration in February, Students Taking A Right Stand (STARS) unveiled a new logo. The new look reflects the fact that student issues, specifically those affecting academic progress, are the driving force behind programming availability. At Hunter Middle School this year, STARS provided tobacco education classes, support group services, and leadership development opportunities for students at a retreat in early fall and at a youth conference in November. STARS sponsored a school-wide motivational program at Hunter as well. Plans are underway to enhance programming to a greater extent during the ’07-’08 school year. |
