Getting to Know our Principal - Mr. James Randolph
Mr. Randolph is starting his second year as principal at Harrison Elementary School. Three students from Mrs. Nagle’s gifted class had a chance to sit down and interview Mr. Randolph. They discovered many interesting details. For instance, did you know that as a boy, Mr. Randolph enjoyed playing baseball and basketball and that he dreamed of becoming an engineer? His favorite book is Mutiny on the Bounty and Pizza Hut is his favorite fast food restaurant. He is also known to relish a good old-fashioned country plate once in a while. Let’s find out some more interesting facts about our principal.
Initially, Mr. Randolph was a science teacher at Brown Middle School. He was also a science supervisor. He spent about seven years in college in order to become a principal. Before arriving at Harrison, Mr. Randolph worked at Falling Water Elementary.
One of the things Mr. Randolph likes most about his career is having the opportunity to work with children. As a matter of fact, Mr. Randolph has four children: three boys and one girl. He also has four pets: two cats, one dog, and one snake. He even said that someday he would like to take his snake to work with him. Be on the lookout kids, you never know what you may find slithering down the hallway!
Some final details about our principal…Mr. Randolph believes that certain video games are beneficial because they can teach particular skills to students. He also thinks that teamwork is important because you are able to accomplish things quicker when you work together. The Harrison Elementary family is looking forward to another great year with our fine principal, Mr. Randolph.
