MISC. NEWS & INFO
Phone Calls & Dismissal
We are having problems with excessive use of the school telephone. Many students are coming to school without knowledge of how they will be getting home. This causes confusion and can result in incorrect rides home. Please be sure your child knows exactly what they are suppose to do in the afternoon for dismissal. If there is a change in the way they are going home or if they are going home with someone, we must have a note that states the change.
Enjoy the City Coupon Book Sale!!!
I hope you have received your "loan" copy of the coupon book that we are selling as our Spring fundraiser. This is a fundraiser for the school not the PTA. This money will go directly into the school account. The books are selling for only $20.00 with $10.00 coming back to the school! This is a great value for almost $3,000.00 worth of total savings in the entire book. All money is due at the time you make the sale. All checks need to be made payable to Falling Water Elementary. If you choose not to sell the book, please return it. You are responsible for the book that was sent home. The sale ends on March 8th. All money is due on that day.
Yearbook
The cost for yearbooks will be $20. You may pay the entire amount now or a $10.00 deposit. Your payment/deposit is due by March 19, 2010. Also we still have several of the 2008-2009 yearbooks left. They are $18.00 if you would like to purchase one of last year’s books.
Pennies for Peace
We are still collecting Pennies for Peace. All money collected will be given to the Creative Discovery Museum who will be sending the money to Afghanistan. The last day to turn in spare change is March 17th.
Dr. Seuss Day
Tuesday, March 2nd is Dr. Seuss Day. We will have guest readers during related arts. Everyone may dress up as his or her favorite Dr. Seuss character or wear their pajamas.
MY SCHOOL’S COOL
We are taking all receipts with a starting date of January 1, 2010. We cannot turn in any receipts dated earlier than this for credit points.
Box Tops Info
Our second submittal of Box Tops was a great success! Falling Water earned $519.50 which is a grand total for the school year of $1063.50! We met our goal of raising $1000 so EVERYONE gets a popsicle recess in the spring. In addition, two classrooms raised over $130 each in Box Tops money with just $4 separating them. Therefore, both Ms. Rogers' class and Ms. Hall's class will have a pizza party to celebrate. Congratulations! Be sure to keep saving those Box Tops throughout the summer for our next submittal in October.
Juice Pouches
We are still collecting all juice pouches for Terracycle. We have currently earned $104! We will continue to collect until the end of school. But don’t stop there! Keep saving through the summer!
2nd & 3rd Grade PTA Programs on DVD’s
If you are interested in purchasing a DVD of the 2nd or 3rd grade PTA program, they are available for purchase. They are $5.00 each. They can be purchased at the PTA Chili Supper/Talent Show.
