The United Schools Athletic Council (USAC) was established in 1998 after a $500,000 budget cut put spring sports for Hamilton County Schools in jeopardy. The council, comprised of coaches, principals, and business leaders, generated funding from corporate donations, special events, and surcharges on tickets sales to all sporting events in Hamilton County. Fortunately, sufficient funds were raised and students continued to enjoy the rewards of being student athletes.

The Fund for Excellence, an independent, non-profit organization, established an endowment for USAC in an effort to secure the future of athletic programs in our schools. Additional funding has been raised over the years through corporate donations and events such as the annual Coca-Cola/USAC Golf Tournament.
