Young Southern Writers Poetry Contest:

THIS IS A BIG accomplishment for our students.

There were 3, 568 entries in the 2008 Young Southern Student Writers Contest.

Apison had the following winners:

4-H County wide Speech Contest

Tori Simpson came in 3rd place.  The other participants from 5th grade were Serena Lowry, Karina Lyashevskiy, Andre Karnuch, Cassie Heck, and Victoria Neal.  We are very proud of our representation at the County level!

2008 Valentine Poetry Contest winners:

Winner for grades 1-2 is Trent Roeser in Ms. Emery's class. Winner in grades 3-5 is Haley Cain in Mrs. Parker's class. Congrats!

Congratulations to Alexandra Deguia.  Alexandra is in Mrs. Green’s first grade class. She won a gift card to Toys R Us for $100 for the work she did in the Fire Prevention Contest. Way to go Alexandra!

Congratulations to the following students who completed the Reading Roundup Summer Reading Program at the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Bicentennial Library.  Each of these students read at least 10 books to earn a certificate and a Summer Reading Program lapel pin.
