THIS IS A BIG accomplishment for our students.

There were 3, 568 entries in the 2008 Young Southern Student Writers Contest.

Apison had the following winners:

Gaines Tallent – 3^rd grade
Kayla Sebring – 5^th grade
Andrew Choy – 5^th grade
Bryce Knickerbocker – 5^th grade (moved to Florida)

Congratulations to Mrs. McEachern and Gaines Tallent for the entry in the prose division that has been named a winner in the 2008 Young Southern Student Writers Contest sponsored by the Arts and Education Council and the English Department at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
