Target’s Take Charge of Education School Fundraising Program - Apison Elementary School just received a donation of $389.68 through the Take Charge of Education Program. Thanks to those of you who have contributed through this fundraising effort. Target donates up to 1% of purchases made using the REDcard to eligible K-12 schools designated by guests of Target. Thanks to the parents, teachers, and community members involved in this program. We appreciate your help.

Dress code concerns:
Please refer to page 15-16 regarding dress code.Teacher and staff discretion will be used for any dress which is felt to be distracting and/or inappropriate for the learning environment. Parents may be called and students asked to change in this event. Parents are expected to monitor the attire of their child before arrival to school. No clothing with obscene writing, encouraging alcoholic beverages, drugs, or violence, or other messages or pictures which might be distracting to the learning environment is permitted. Athletic shoes only - no crocs, flip flops, or open toed shoes.

"No Child Left Behind" Act - What is it?

- Homework Hotline (209-7755) will be open from 4:00 - 7:00 P.M. Monday through Thursday. Teachers will be waiting to take calls from students K-8 who need help with homework.

- Check out the grade level pages! You may now contact your child's teacher through their Hamilton County email account. This is for your benefit. We want to give you another avenue of communication. Please use appropriately.
- Please be aware that at times, the email system is down for maintenance or repair and the delivery of email may be affected. If you do not get a response right away, be patient.
Accelerated Reader Book List
Dismissals: No child will be dismissed from the office after 3:15 PM. Regular dismissal procedures must be followed after that time. We encourage parents to allow their children to remain at school for the entire school day. Valuable lessons are missed when students leave early.
