Welcome to one of the most exciting and incredible years in the education of  your child!  Third grade is a transitional year.  Students experience a lot of personal and academic growth.  Good listening skills and work habits are extremely important as  expectations have increased.

Many new skills are gained during this school year.  To help students stay organized, they keep a daily agenda with assignments recorded and a folder for homework. These will come home daily. The agendas are a direct link between home and school.  They may also serve as a convenient place to write notes.

The Accelerated Reader program has proven to be a powerful tool in building independent reading skills and increasing reading levels.   Please encourage your child to read 20 minutes daily. 

We appreciate your support and involvement in our school's program.  We encourage you to join and  become involved in our P.T.A.  The P.T.A. has provided many things for our school that we otherwise would not have.
